Gamma? Thanksgiving Diser's worried?

Living near New Orleans, I don't wish this on ANY part of Florida. Here's hoping NO ONE in the U.S has to deal with another storm and that all of us have a problem free vacation!!!!

All,

Well it looks like Florida might get some rain, but the storm itself looks like it's going to go way south of Florida.

With all of the records being broken this year storm-wise, let's hope Gamma dosen't break anything. :guilty:

As someone who has more than his share of hurricane experience (Hurricanes Alicia, Bob and Rita, plus a typhoon whose name I forgot), I say don't worry too much, the most you are likely to see is some extra wind and rain.

3 pm cst update.

It looks like everyone heading to Fla for Thanksgiving will not have anything to worry about. Gamma continues to move more and more south and now the cone is well south of Florida.

Great news for us here in SoFlo.

Still, it didn't prevent folks here in Boca from going into a panic gas-buying frenzy. There's hardly any stations with gas in our area now. Can't say I blame people for worrying, but this far out? I guess judging from all the ruin I see here and there, I shouldn't blame people from reacting as if they've been traumatized. Many of them have been...

9 pm cst update.

This will be my last update on Gamma since it's going away from Florida. Unless Florida breaks off from North America and floats southword in the next 24 hours or so, Florida will not feel anything from this storm.

Thanks Jason! Whew that's good news after dealing with Cindy, Katrina, Ophelia, Tammy and Wilma and worrying about Rita, I'm really really sick and tired of storms.

I think we all wished hard enough to have it change course.. at least that is what it looks like now. Let's keep it up :wizard:

Sorry! I did not mean for it to go South to hit any Land! Go so so south and disapate is what I want. I give you all credit who have been through the Hurricanes I can not not even imagine what it must be like.

And if you have to come to Disney! I would be happy to see you, since I know more lives have been lost.

Here is Wisconsin we even had people from Katrina up here. I was sad to see them being so far from home, but then thought they may have a better chance here. Our cold and snow does not destroy homes.

Be safe to everyone in Gamma's path!

I am sure my mom will be freaking out when she sees it is coming.
Thank you.. To actually hear someone say that & it the tone of voice she used, you can tell she was unhappy with all the "evacuees" that were in Disney. I didn't think she was a DIS'er :goodvibes (at least I hope not ;) )
