Games / Challenges to play in the park?

This started when I went to Gay Days at Disneyland in 2012 with a group of friends. I made the announcement in the morning that the first person to spot a guy wearing a tiara would get $1. So the contest was on! It was a fun way to have an ongoing game throughout the day. And yes, one tiara was spotted while in line at TOT and the next day it was spotted while we were waiting to load Splash Mountain.

Since then, when going to a Disney park, we usually play some sort of game of "spot the ____". The last trip to DL was "Count The Elsas". The first person who spotted and pointed out a little girl dressed in an Elsa costume would get that point. The person with the most points at the end of the day earned themselves a cocktail purchased by the rest of the group.

Anyone else play games like this? Or what ideas/variations do you have in mind? I'd love to hear about them!

Yes!!! My friends and I play similar games but we call it bingo. It's really more like I spy, since so far we've never been with it far enough in advance to make game boards and check off the things we've seen.

I think games like this are so fun, it makes walking through crowds, standing in line and people watching so much more interesting! I posted a thread on the Wdw tips section of the forum with our ideas for Wdw bingo, hoping others would have more ideas so I can put together some actual game cards. I'm going to add "man in tiara" to the list. It's possible, even in October! :) Men wear mouse ears every day in Disney, why not a tiara?

I love these. We have an ongoing game where you have to find someone whose outfit you would wear from head to toe. It is harder than it seems. We also pick one kid we would adopt each day.

I love the idea of BINGO!!! I was like, someone has had to have made this right? Like there is car bingo, why not WDW bingo? Sure enough, I googled and found this. It's a little outdated <sniff, so long paper fast passes> but it's a good jumping off point to start brainstorming things to add/change to the cards.
* Person charging their phone on a portable battery
* Couple wearing the bride/groom Mickey ears
* Family wearing matching T-Shirts
* Cast member from your home state
* Male face character (inspired by a thread I saw today asking "where are all the men at?")
* Someone in a Minions T-Shirt

Ooh, those are some good ones! Matching shirt family, a cast member from your home state, so good! I'd be so excited to see another Alaskan, and it might be more challenging.
Though some from the photo would be too easy-- autograph book? Person eating? Kid in stroller.... please, we'd win before we even got in the gates! Heheh. Maybe that card is geared toward small children.
I saw one where a mom had made the bingo cards with character pics in all the squares, that would be a fun one for littles who can't read yet (or for kids who can't read good, and Zoolander).
I'm all about finding ways to make "boring times" --aka standing in lines or waiting for a show to start-- more fun! Thanks for your additions!

Two more I thought of:
Chris from Florida (the generic badge for CMs who forgot theirs)
A blue CM badge (which I read in a TR means they're a CM who went above and beyond and is very prestigious--I'm not sure I've ever seen one?)

Okay! I made some game boards with some of the suggestions I've received, and I made a google doc of a few different WDW Bingo gameboards! I also have it available as a PDF, but I can't imagine I'd be allowed to upload that here. :)

Anyway, if you want to access this to print and play, please do! The file is read-only, but I believe you can save a copy to your own Google drive and edit that one. There are 5 different game boards, and I did my best to rearrange the squares and change or tweak some of the content in each gameboard, so they're all different. The FREE square in the middle is "LITTLE ELSA" since that's a no-brainer giveaway.

If you decide to print and play, let me know how you liked it, especially if you visit WDW before October 2016, which is when I'll have a chance to test it out myself!

Just back from our week long 4th of July trip. We did 2 games/challenges on our trip. We are family of 4 and our kids are 17 and 19. My older daughter also brought her 20 year old friend. All of us really had fun playing these games on the trip!!

The first challenge was a character selfie challenge. How many selfies can you get with characters? I met more characters on this trip than I did in the 25 previous trips combined. It was so much fun. We counted a character as any Disney cast member in character. So along with the typical meet and greets, I got selfies with a few citizens of Hollywood, Main street characters and even the goofy Norseman in Norway (he was funny). My younger daughter got the most character selfies and won this challenges (an even 40!!)

The second challenge was similar to the "bingo" challenge on this thread in fact we had many of the same items. The difference is ours was a bit more of a scavenger hunt as we all had the same list of items we had to find. And when found, you had to take a selfie with the item to prove you found it. The list had 14 items and who ever could check the most off the list, won. I was the only one to get all 14 items.

We will definitely doing this again on future trips!!
