Gameboy Advanced SP

My youngest son is going to turn 10 this Sunday (best Father's Day present ever) and has been asking for the Gameboy Advanced SP. Has anybody bought it? Is it worth the $30 more than the standard Gameboy Advanced?

I know, I know, I'll probably end up buying it anyway, but I still would like to know others' opinions on it.

I got one for DD's birthday. I'll let you know after she opens it on Saturday!!

I bought it because of the back lit screen and not having to put new batteries every month!

Absolutely! I wish we had bought one instead on the GameBoy Advance. Even with a worm light is it really hard to see.

SP is still front lit, and to fix your regular GBA there is a add on called an Afterburner to put in a front light just like the SP.

Also the SP doesn't come with a headphone jack, but I think you can buy an adapter to add one. Might be a concern depending on how it is going to be used.

It is worth the extra money. The batteries stay charged for a long time and you can recharge it anywhere even a USB port.
