Gameboy Advance SP at Target - deal!

Okay, I just couldn't resist. Went to Target over lunch and they had a special bundle deal. Lime Gameboy Advance SP, Donkey Kong County Advance game, battery charger/batteries, and a mail in coupon for free headphones. The whole package was $99!! It was in the ad for last Friday, so I was surprised to see the deal was still good. So, my DS will be one happy boy on Christmas Day!!!

I got a similar package online through ToysRUs, but instead of Donkey Kong, it came with Super MArio Bros 4. I finally purchased my game boy that I had been wanting when I saw the package!

We got the gold SP deal from Toysrus as well, saw the one at Target too. DH wanted Mario for DD.

Good deal!!!!! Everyone was sold out here I did get walmart to match a Advance sp with mario Kart from Circuit City but didn't get the charger... I might call Target to see if they received anymore since the weekend!!!!

This is a very good deal! I just love Target, and it pays to poke around to see what they have on special. When I was at my local Target a couple of days ago, they had 2003 Maddens Football Game Boy Advance games on clearance for $2.18!! I took all 5 that they had, figuring I could give a couple as gifts. The rest I will use for prizes at our school's annual carnival.

that you are getting, or just the advance?? The only colors that are available around here for the SP are platinum (silver), flame (red), cobalt (blue) and black (can't remember what they call it). The only place I have seen it for less thatn $99 was the Fri after Thkgng at K*B Toys, they had a special deal of Gameboy Advance SP for $79.99 with a $100 purchase. Not really worth it to me as I didn't want to buy $100 worth of other toys!! Did get a deal at Best Buy.... had a deal of a free "game package" (includes magnifier, speakers, headphones, etc) with purchase of SP. I bought two for the DD and DS.... got home and looked at my receipt and realized that they charged me $18.97 each for the "free" package!! UUUHHHH!! Had to make a special trip back to the mall during the post-thanksgiving weekend just to get my credit. Guess I should have looked closer at my receipt !!! ANYHOW.... my DS favorite color is green, so if the SP is available in LIME... where do you find it?? Didn't see it at my Target here in Concord NH.....where else should I check??

I believe Target is the only one that had it in Lime Green, I was told it was an Target exclusive.

That was the regular GBA not the SP.. and it was Kmart on Thanksgiving Day.

The Lime Green Gameboy Advance Package at Target is the Gameboy Advance SP. I double checked. I found a Target near a University so I think the games aren't as picked over as other Target's. I was a bit worried that the game included wasn't an advance game but I double checked and it is.

I LOVE Target also. I shop there at least once a week - sometimes more.

It wouldn't matter if it was nt an Advance game.. as far as I can tell, you can use any Gameboy game on it... color, regular, Advance on an SP!

Why would it include a battery charger and batteries when the sp doesn't take batteries?

THe Gameboy SP doesn't take batteries???? What does it take? I just bought three LARGE packages of AA batteries....

It has a lithion (sp) battery that is similar to a cell phone. It gets re-charged with a charger plugged into an electrical outlet like your cell phone would. This is one of the great advantages of the sp...also can get a car charger.

I was at our local Target today and they also had the Lime Green Game Boy SP box sets. Didn't look too closely at it (don't know about the charger/batteries, etc.) as my SIL rushed out last Friday to buy it for 99.99 for us, but it was definately the New GameBoy SP, it was Green and it came with Donkey Kong Country I think. They had a shelf full and it was on sale for 99.99. My son's favorite color is green too!

The one I ordered Friday, just came today - Gameboy SP (gold) with Mario from Toyrus.com. I saw it in the flyer for Black Friday, but ordered it off the internet at the same price. (I figured the extra $8 shipping I had to pay was worth it, instead of fighting the crowds......) The Gold SP is a Toyrus exclusive, and the Lime Green SP is the Target one.
DS is also going to one happy boy on Xmas morning!

Which Target ? My parents are in the suburbs. Maybe I could ask them to get me one. I have checked our 2 Targets and they do not have it. I am on a mission now!
