Game Room at GF??

In two months, we are staying at GF for the first time.

Someone told me that my boys (age 6 and 8) will be disappointed in the arcade/game room at the GF after staying at the Contemporary and experiencing their HUGE game room.

Of course, I could care less about the game room because I've wanted to stay at the GF my whole life!

Does anyone know what the game room at the GF is like? Someone told me that they had a lot of old-fashioned pinballs games there (which would be great) but I don't want to tell the kids that if it's not true!

..not huge but decent sized. I'd say forget the arcade and ride Buzz Lightyear!!

It is nothing to brag about. In fact the whole hotel is nothing to brag about. Like you I wanted to stay here my whole life. But I have to say it was a let down. The best part about staying there was the monorail. You can get that at the CR or the Poly. Of all the Disney hotels I have stayed at over the years, this was my least favorite. Hope you enjoy it more than I did. The only arcade I saw was in an eating place (can't remener the name) there were a couple of games there and that's it. Good Luck!

When I was there last Aug. there was atleast one pinball game there, maybe a second. There were about 10 games in all.

Sorry to hear you didn't enjoy noseybuddy! But that's what is so great about WDW! Lots of different styles of resorts to satisfy everyone.

Sharonk - Welcome to the DIS! I'm sure you will not be disappointed in GF. It is beautiful! We are staying for the first time in Sept., altho we've been here many times for dinner.

I've read that the game room is not very interesting.

Perhaps one day during your stay you can take them over to the CR to visit the bigger game room.

I'll be staying there next month, I'll be sure to check it out and post what games they have when I get back.

My DD was only 4 1/2 when we were last there in November, so she wasn't that interested in the game room, but she really loves this resort! Granted, she doesn't remember any other resort, but she definitely has a great time when we're there. Like others posted, there are only about 10 games there, and I never really looked closely at them, but I think it would be enough to keep your kids happy for a little while. I know we'd rather spend most of our time at the parks or in the pools. But I have nephews who love video games, so I can understand why this is important to you!

We love the GF and I'm sure you will not be disapponted! Have a great time!

..having been to all the deluxes at least once (exc. WL) GF is my new favorite (although I really do love them all...AKL, Poly, BW, Y&B, Contemp). You w3ill love it. Take the time to experience all that is unique about the resort: the location, tea, the lobby and the music etc
