Game ideas for college aged kids??

We are in the midwest and cornhole is a must.

Games that my two played were: Truth or Dare Jenga, Twister, Playing Cards, Poker Chips, any video system, DDR on those video systems, Sorry, Connect 4, Trivial Pursuit, Catch Phrase

Definitely Taboo and Apples to Apples! Any Scene It games are great, too.

I agree. Anything to do with drinking and you can't go wrong. You can raise them to not drink or come from a non-drinking home, but as soon as they hit 21 & are with other college kids, drinking is bound to happen on some level. I don't think there is any avoiding that fact.

Wii is another great idea.

Partini and balderdash.
I love scategories

...lol or you could always buy a season of the Sopranos, when we were in college every time Tony said the "fudge" word we'd have to drink lol.

Although, this could apply to anything a few years ago I found a drinking game on line for Law and Order SVU. lol It was like a Treasure Hunt and everytime a cast member did something characteristic someone would have to drink.

Bananagrams! It is a fun game that resembles Scrabble, but each player plays individually against each other. Plus, it is packaged in a small cloth banana and it is very easy to store. No bigger than a sweatsock!

Def get her LCR (Left, Center, Right) Dice! Its so simple to play....you can play for pennies, or dollars (like we do at some family funcitons) or candy (my kids do this with their friends). Its easy, quick and anyone can play. Plus its cheap and easy to store since its so small.

Check it out on amazon!

Please...please...please....I think you may be scaring the OP away.:lmao:

On the other hand...am I the only one who played "quarters"; or another great one is "bob"

I fell like I am dating myself...

Battle of the Sexes

Pictionary

Loaded Questions

are 3 my DD likes a lot...she does nothave time to play them much at all anymore ( she's a Junior) but her friends still play them a lot!

Another "Quarters" player here....and not for doing laundry, lol..:rolleyes1
However, that was in the early 80's for me...we also had quarter beer night at the bars back then, man $2 and you were set including tipping the bartender!

Magic: The Gathering, or, if the are really eccentric, Illuminati

Dungeons & Dragons.

The Kevin Bacon Game.

Risk.

Chess.

I also grew up in Wisconsin - but went to Madison. DD is now looking at colleges and saw U of M last week. She loved it - which is just about killing me!;)

A lot of kids are going to be drinking at college well before they turn 21.

I got the game Quelf as a gift last Christmas and dd stole it to take back to college with her. It's hilarious.

She also snatched her old Super Nintendo and all the games out of my garage sale and immediately contacted her roommate to let her know about her "score." :lmao: She hasn't touched that game in probably 8 years and now she and her friends are having tournaments.

Trivial Pursuit, Othello, Scattergories, Pictionary,

and especially two decks of cards that match - because some games require a double deck, or doubling a partial (10-Ace) deck.

We played Pictionary and a whole lot of Uno when I was in college.

I also recommend some of the games that were already mentioned, such as Apples to Apples (there's a new Disney version! :)), Scattergories, and Catch Phrase.

Cranium games are usually fun.

Pit is a loud and fun game.

How about Scene It?

You can make ANY game into one that involves alcohol--Candyland is a GREAT game for college kids with alcohol :thumbsup2 :rolleyes1

ImagineIf is also a BLAST, with or without alcohol.

:rotfl: How do play Candyland with alcohol?

They didn't even have beer pong when I was younger...

Well, you can set up your own rules but we played that anytime you landed (drew a card) on your own color you took a drink. If you landed on one of the picture ones you made someone else take a drink. :lmao: Stupid things you do in college.
