Game Boy compatablity?

My DD's have asked for Game Boy Advanced this year for Christmas. This is the first year that they have ever asked for a game system (they are 9 & 11). Are Game Boy Color games compatable with Game Boy Advanced?? The hampster game my DD9 wants is Game Boy Color game not Game Boy advanced.

HELP!! for a novice.

I just double checked Nintendo's website just to be sure but you can play every old Gameboy and Gameboy Color games on the GBA.

My DS has both and you can play game boys games on GBA. Not the other way around though.

Do you have KayBee Toys where you are? On the commercial they are running they're selling the GBA for $49.99, that is an awesome price if you can get it.

Walmart has them for $49.99 tomorrow until 11am, I am heading there as soon as I droped the kids off.

I am glad to see that you can play the Color on advance. This will make life so much easier

Kaybee had some kind of rebate on the GBA..I seen them for 69.99 and you got a $25 rebate if you spent $100..
DW is gonna try and get one at wal-mart for $49.99..

You can only get it for $50 at KB Toys if you spend $100. I don't know about WalMart.

Just to forwarn you if your not there at the time the store opens its unlikely you can get it. Even then its a battle. Good luck though! I'm going to try for a tv.

They were selling fat this morning. Toys R Us was out of the special in about 30 minutes.

Walmart was out too, we got there 90 mins after opening. (30 mins after I thought they opened)

I for one think it is really bad/poor planning on stores parts not to have MORE then enough for a special they run.
