Galveston fogged in. Wonder can't dock

I hope the OP has a minute to post back here. Curious as to how the disembarkation goes as we are waiting to board
Have a great cruise. GO STEELERS. In case you didn't see it - the game on Sunday has been moved to 8:20 pm ET because of the ice storm in KC. Hope you get to watch it onboard.

2:30 on top of the Kemah bridge looking towards Galveston Bay. Hope the ship can get back out tonight.

Not the OP, but we're still waiting to disembark. Looks like the fog is rolling back in. I hope those starting their cruise will get out tonight and have an amazing cruise. The weather for our cruise has been varied, but we've had a wonderful time. Very sad to be leaving, but hopeful we'll be back again.
Safe travels to all :goodvibes

Thanks! This is the best news I've heard today. Originally it was on when we were in key west.

In my pic above the structure you can make out the Boardwalk Bullet roller coaster at the Kemah Boardwalk. Seems to be getting thicker. Just got home from getting groceries.

Hi all, on our way to IAH and may just make our flight. Keeping fingers crossed. Looking doubtful.

They were calling colored luggage tags and all was well. They had not called ours yet but an officer came into Azur and said all colors could disembark. That was at 3 pm. Well the line to then get off ship was massive and we did not leave ship until about 3:45 so 45 mins from Azur (Wavebands) to get off ship. Customs was also a long wait.

DCL doesn't cruise out of Tampa, but it's an issue there too.

I live in Tampa now, and I've always wanted DCL to come here, but I believe the Skyway is too short for the Disney ships. And we do have inexplicable dense fog every now and again, Makes things more difficult.

When looking at colleges, I first went to Galveston, but the day we were there was one of those really foggy days. Totally turned me off of the place. When I visited Tampa Bay, it was a warm sunny day. I only learned later that the weather has it's own issues.

I'd be surprised if the Wonder/Magic couldn't clear the bridge. The RCCL Radiance Class ships can, and they are larger by GRT. Obviously GRT doesn't necessarily correlate to height, but given those ships size/age, I would think they could fit.

The air draft of the Sunshine Skyway is 180 feet. The Magic class air draft is 171.5. They'll clear it easily enough.

That was my thought. I know one of them (Brilliance??) regularly sails out of Tampa during the winter. (And regularly runs into fog issues.) And as I understand it, they're closer to Dream Class size than Classic.
