Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party

I didn't realize that this was going on during our trip. I read that there was some Star Wars event taking place on around April 17th and was confusing that event with the Galactic Spectacular. Luckily, I came across the super long thread and read some of it because it helped me clarify that the Spectacular is the fireworks show.

So I'm more than likely going to purchase the dessert party package so we can get better viewing but I was hoping to get some feedback or clarification from people that have already done the dessert party package. I'm sure the other thread may have covered this already but since it's 668 pages, I'm not going to go through all of those pages.

Since this will be our first time to WDW and we don't foresee us going back anytime soon, I'd like to set up a tripod and camcorder if at all possible to record the firework show too. If we purchase the dessert package, is there anywhere that we can stand that will give us a good viewing of the show but will also allow me to set up a tripod without getting in people's way?

If someone has a map of the viewing area that they can point me to that would also be great. If you can also indicate where the dessert party package folks will be, that may help me plan out a spot for me to set up.

Thanks.

Yup. That's the problem though. It's a HUGE thread and I don't plan on going through 668 pages of tips and chatter. Hoping maybe someone can just answer my questions directly.

You don't have to go through the whole thread. Just post your questions there and the people who know the answer will respond; yulilin3 in particular (who started the thread) should be able to answer any question you have. I think it's much less likely that someone who knows the answers to your questions will be on the tips board than in that thread.

Ok. Thanks. I'll give that a try.
