Just got back last night. Had a great time, but gained some! Tried to get back onboard Atkins this morning, oldest got sick and I stressed and caved in and ate a donut!

Here's hoping I can be good tomorrow! It is always so hard the first day!

UGH. I'm bad.

First, welcome back, hope you had a good trip.
I just got back from a cruise on Saturday, I gained 4 pounds, but I weighed myself today and I already lost 2. I was really stressed out about going on vacation and gaining weight, but
Once you get back on the program the pounds do come off quickly.

Vacations the past 4 weeks have also done me in. I gained 3 lbs just from this past weekend. Trying to get back on track this morning....stress also has a lot to do with it.

Welcome Back - glad to hear you had a great trip! Sorry to hear that your oldest has been sick - hope its not the bug I had:( .

Don't worry about the vacation wait - it will just fall off once you get back to your regular routine! DH at the end of may gained 6lbsish when he and DD were at WDW - he was shocked:eek: they avaraged 9 miles a day and he didn't eat much - anyways within 5 daysish all vaca wgt was gone!

Welcome back! Glad you had a great time. I'm just back myself from a 5 day trip and it's been a little rough getting back into my regular routine. I'm sorry you're dealing with a sick kiddo.

I'm sure now that you're home your old routine will kick in and that extra weight will be gone in no time. About the donut, it's gone and there's nothing you can do about it. Just don't make the mistake that since you've had a donut you've "blown it" for today. Get right back on the lc wagon this minute. It will help you feel better. You don't want the "I'll start tomorrow or I'll start over Monday" mentality to overtake you, just get back on track today! :)

We're here to support you and know you can do it!:sunny:

Thanks guys. I'm back on Atkins today and even got back walking. :) Hope this comes off fast...

Your weight should come off pretty fast :). I never weigh myself the first week back from vacation. It's just too darn depressing! I always give myself a week to get back in the groove and then weigh myself. Don't be so hard on yourself and go drink some more water!

YIPPEE!!! Got on scale today and lost three pounds from just one day back on track! It must have been I was really swollen! I drank a ton of water yesterday, too. Now I only have one more pound to go to get back to my goal weight and then another to get to where I was when we left.

Not too bad since I ate alot of ice cream on our trip. (Sorry, I know that was so bad of me!)

Thanks for letting me vent as always... :teeth:

I knew that would happen :). Heck, if I can't eat icecream once I get to goal, I'll have to kill myself now! IMO, vacations are a time to relax ... including your eating habits!

I'm glad things are working out for you. Next time, stay off the scale for a week!

I was wondering if it was alot of water retention. My friend just got back as well and said it was very hot and humid. Good for you on your loss.:D

Ah, those dreaded Disney pounds. I know them well. It's a big part of the fun, so one has to eat all those interesting foods. I can just taste the chips and salsa at the San Angel Inn...yum. Don't fret too much, it happens to most of us and usually comes off once you're home and eating normally again. Sounds like that's what's happening with you too, (i.e. 3 lbs. gone already!).

Thanks for the replies. I did end up losing a fourth pound, putting me at my DIS WISH goal weight. Still one more pound to go to put me where I was when we left. I'm thankful, didn't take long.

What amazes me is you hear people say they ate like crazy, but because they walked so much at WDW they ended up losing! Well...... that sure doesn't happen to me!

It'll come off. DOn't beat yourself about caving in. It happens sometimes. That weight will come back off before you know it
