What does k mean in money? Like, when someone says " I'll give you 8k for it " how much gold is that?

Go into My Gaia--Account--Right on the page it takes you to, scroll down to the bottom of the first box. You'll see Choose Profile right there!

k means thousand. So, when they are saying they will give 8k, they mean they will give 8,000 gold.
