We were booked for a theme park view at the Grand Floridian (club level in the main building). My travel agent just called. They need to change our room location due to extreme construction noise. One choice was theme park view/club level at the Poly. I took that. The TA was going to call right away to secure it. Now I need to find info about the Poly club!!! Any tips? Anything I should request? Where are the club level rooms at the Poly? We leave in 10 days!!! Yikes!

The CL rooms at the Poly are in the Hawaii building. I loved being on the first floor, you can walk right out to the beach from your room there. It's just wonderful! The CL lounge is amazing! Gorgeous view of the Castle and Wishes. I just adored everything about our vacation there! Hope you have an amazing time!

We were at Poly CL (Hawaii building) at the end of August and loved it. It is a short walk to either the MK monorail in the GCH or to the TTC where you can pick up the Epcot monorail. When you see the crane and the construction going on at the Grand Floridian, you will probably be glad that they changed you over to the Poly.:)

That's a good pixie dust occurrence! Enjoy your trip! :goodvibes

can I ask where you are staying...just curious lol!!! :)

Huh? What do you mean a pixie dust occurance? We're basically being downgraded!

I don't know where we are staying-I said first choice would be Poly TPV CL, second choice would be Standard room (garden view?) CL at the GF-main building.

We were booked CL TPV in the main building at the GF.

Wow that is awesome that you get to stay at the Poly and Club level!!! It is my dream to one day stay there. I hear good reviews! Have a wonderful trip!!!

We've done both RPC at the Grand and Poly club. They have totally different "feels" but you'll enjoy the Poly. The staff in the club lounge is great and the view is beautiful.
We prefer the Poly rooms. What I'd miss most is the orchestra at the Grand. Hearings and watching them from the RPC lounge is really nice.

Have a great trip, I'm sure you'll love it!

I hope you are getting some type of refund because the room they are offering you is not the cost equivalent to the one you booked.

That being said, we have stayed in both a GF RPC TPV room and a Poly GV CL room and MUCH prefer Poly CL to GF main building CL. The concierge staff is much more accessible at Poly and the lounge itself is so much nicer.

So, CONGRATS on your downgrade!! It's a good one!

How is it not a good thing to go from one TPV club room at GF that has major construction going on to a TPV club room at the Poly with no construction and a perfect view of the castle each night? Seems awesome to me that they are being moved into a non-loud, open food, open pool setting.

The only thing that you have to think about are the ADRs you might have made at the GF based on being there and your touring plans.

I think you will be happy once you realize it isn't the end of your perfect GF vacation dream (because I wouldn't pay that much to stay there during this construction) but the beginning of your amazing Poly vacation.

No-the move is fine. I understand, and appreciate they are anticipating noise.

My point was someone called it pixie dust. I don't know that it's pixie dust. I'm not being upgraded. I'm moving to a "lower" room category. It's a couple hundred less a night at Poly CL TPV. (And yes-I will be refunded for the difference).

Thanks for those that posted links-I've been reading! I appreciate it so much!

Yes-I'll miss the music from the lobby-and hearing it in our room in the evenings. It's so magical!!

I don't *love* the rooms at the Poly-they are too dark for my taste. But I'm all for changing it up once in a while. We have not stayed at the Poly for a couple years now.

And really-who can beat the convenience of taking the elevator down to floors and walking onto the monorail?!
