Forgive me if this has been addressed elsewhere, I looked a bit without finding it!

I just mailed my 30 Haiti care kits on Monday. Can anyone tell me how long it too to have theirs verified and vouchers available? I am impatient. :)

This was a fun project, definitely cost a bit to do but what a wonderful feeling to know that people who don't have basic care items will get them. And I loved the notes we included in them, my daughter drew pictures and had a ball.

THANKS!

I'm still waiting for verification for the kits that we sent on March 11 - starting to get a little worried. I sent them via Purolator and I know that they were delivered and signed for on the 17th. Hopefully my status will be updated soon (it still says that I need to volunteer for a day).

Can you tell me how much shipping was and what type of packaging did you send them. I will be sending ours out next week.

I was able to print my vouchers about 5 days after our volunteer opportunity. The organization we volunteered with had to confirm our participation. They say to let them know if it has been more than 2 weeks. I kept signing in to manage account to check the status.

I mailed my on Monday, they received them on Thursday, status went to pending on Friday and I got my vouchers the following Tuesday. I did email the coordinator of Heart to Heart to make sure the packages were received and asked how long it would take until I was verified.

Do you still have that contact information? I would like to contact them if I don't hear anything by Monday. It seems like mine is taking a lot longer.

Thanks

If you don't get a response in a few days I would give them a call. Google Heart to Heart International to find their website where you can find all of the contact information. Hope this helps.

Thanks! I just checked this morning and it now says "pending verification" so I assume they have gotten them and are checking them or something. Tuesday will be a week since I sent them, so I will contact them if I don't hear anything by then. I hate to be impatient, but I don't want to drop the ball!

I did send ours in the USPS flat rate boxes they suggested, but it took a lot of effort to get ten kits in each large box! I had to do a lot of squeezing to get excess air out of the ziploc bags. The large flat rate boxes are $14 and change to ship. Perhaps sending all in one bigger box would have been cheaper? I have no idea. I did weigh them at the PO and using a flat rate box only saved a dollar or so, that weight and zip code came to $15-something.

This morning I checked the site and my service has been verified and my vouchers are now printed. How exciting! I sent the packages a week ago, so very quick process. Yippee! :cheer2:

I'm still waiting on mine. I emailed the director and he responded very quickly saying that they have a huge backlog in the warehouse. I guess they have been getting a lot of donations (which is a very good thing). I was worried that maybe I didn't complete the sign up process correctly or something but today I got the reminder email saying that my volunteer date is approaching. So I guess I just have to wait a little while longer!

Mine has been verified as of this morning, too. I checked over the weekend and my status had changed to pending verification in the last few days. I sent them about a week and a half ago, so even with some backlog, they processed them in under 2 weeks. That seems pretty good to me.

I couldn't get them to fit in the flat rate boxes, so I just sent them the cheapest way possible (parcel post?) in regular boxes because I had plenty of time for them to get there.
