GAD and YES tickets

I'm trying to figure this out and for some reason it's not computing in my head and I guess I want a second opinion.
We are a family of 5-3 adults and two children
What is the better deal if we were to go four days to the parks

Use our GAD tix and upgrade the additional 3 days

or

use our GAD tix and purchase 3 Day YES passes

or

Purchase 4 day YES passes and use our GAD tix as FP (although tech. we would have an extra left over)

I don't know how much YES tickets cost, but your worst option is probably to purchase three-day YES tickets and use the GAD vouchers for your fourth day. For MYW tickets, the cost difference between a 3-day ticket and a 4-day ticket is only $6. I'd expect it is similar for a YES ticket, but I don't know.

If you redeem your GAD vouchers and upgrade them to 4-day base MYW tickets, you will pay $155.49 per adult and $132.06 for each child ages 6-9 (since you have to be 6 to have a GAD voucher). Adding the park hopper option or the water parks option will cost 55.38 per ticket per option.

The value of the GAD FP option depends on when your trip is and what kind of park tourers you are. If you like to sleep in, the FPs would be great to help you ride the headliners like Toy Story Mania or Soarin', that are known to run out of FPs occasionally. If you are rope drop people and you are travelling at a quiet time, the FP cards may not have as much value to you.

You can use more than one GAD voucher in a day, but it usually requires a manager override since the tickets will have already be scanned in conjunction with the first voucher you redeem that day. You could also redeem one voucher for the figurine and pins or donate it.

Here is a link to the YES ticket prices. Ticket prices shown include the 6.5% tax. I happened to have looked at this the other day.

Note - I'm not sure how adults figure in to YES tickets...

So the possible options are (using base tickets only, although it looks like add ons for park hopping and water parks are cheap):

4-day YES ticket: $135.16
3-day YES ticket (plus GAD as 4th day): $126.38 (you only save $8.78!)
4-day MYW adult ticket upgrade from GAD: $155.49

So it looks like the ideal is to get the 4-day YES tickets and use GAD for the other options. Especially if you want to add park hopping and water parks (note - it looks like you can't add JUST water parks - its park hopping or both).

I do know that YES tickets cannot be purchased at a ticket window or GRO, they cannot be upgraded or modified in any way, and you cannot upgrade any ticket to a YES ticket.

thanks for the responses-I knew that if we were going to purchase YES tickets I needed to do it soon -- however my kids are saying an adament no to classes even at DW-- guess they are a bit tired of school. Looks like we will be upgrading the GAD tickets and I will have to try to motivate everyone to get up early The YES tickets are a great deal and the classes look fun too--maybe I can convince everyone next time. . .
