I know the age of participation is 6 and I think I might answer my own question so forgive me. My son turns 6 on June 10 and we are leaving on June 19. He needs to be 6 to participate in the vlounteer projects or just 6 to qualify for the ticket? he already loves volunteering with me but I understand there is liablities associated with his age.

I think it really depends upon where you live. I looked up options in my area, and everything required that the volunteer be over 18 (tutoring HS kids....).

I was thinking the same thing since my daughter turns six during out trip. I dont think it will work. Disney has to approve the voucher and I would think by the birthday they would reject it. Also thought about putting my daughter as a year older but you have to show their birth certificate when you redeem the voucher.

The projects I have looked at-you need to BE 6 the day you volunteer.
