Day Five - Tuesday 4-30
Trip was from April 26th to May 3rd.
We decided to take it easy this am. It took us long enogh, huh?
Slept til 8:30. Wow!!!
Had Breakfast at Whispering Canyon, good, eggs, sausage, toast coffee, juice. They had the kids race around the room on their horses. Andie had not seen this before and giggle a lot. It is cute. She said wave that napkin, cuz I'm not going to ride one of those horses. tee hee.
We set up the animals for Mousekeeper and headed out for the quiet pool. My notes say, it's 10:30 and I'm writing in my journal, nice and quiet and there music playing, the birds are chirping.
We smelled smoke as we were coming out this am. A security man said there was an off property wild fire. This was the one and only instance that we noticed anything, although the news did indicate a fire somewhere. OH and I forgot to mention the love bugs. This is the first experience with the cute ??? little thing. They were around a lot, but not enough to really bother anyone. But I suppose if there were more, it could be a nusiance.
There was a duck in the pool again, the quiet pool. Can't understand how they can go in the chlorine water.
Andie went in the hot tub a couple of times to easy aches, me too. My aches were calf aches. All that walking I did before the trip, daily lunchtime walks and still achy. Gotta love those Disney aches and pains, tee hee.
Bus with FW again, but got to MGM and there were not that many people around. Shopped for DH and then headed over to ToT. On the way we met Roman Holiday. He gave me a pin, said I had to tell everyone that "I got goofy in a car at the parade, at MGM".
Oh I had been collecting the pins and need Dopey to complete my 7 dwarves. I got him the 2nd day and got Snow the next. Everyone wanted my grumpy. I decided not to trade them. So Snow and the 7 dwarves came home with me. I did find Sully. although I had to asked lots of small children which one was sully. Andie said, "if you ask one more little kid which one is Sully........"
Andie got me to go on ToT. I have only been on this once before, do not like the sensation. I usually just wait while DH goes on, but I thought I could use the chicken exit. I couldn't find the chicked exit and ended up going on, last time. I don't like this ride. But you should have seen the picture, terror on my face, and Andie looked like she was just on a Sunday afternoon picnic. Should have found the chicken exit. tee hee
We had butter pecan ice creams and then headed over to Millionaire play it. There were a lot of contestants, no one got over 1000 points.
Traded pins for Huey and Dewey. My mission for the rest of the trip, Louie.
Went to line up for the parade. We wanted to see Roman Holiday, but we did not line up far enough down. Misty fans still coming in handy with us and people who were around us.
Parade was great, first time for me seeing this parade. Andie had seen it before. Lots of pictures.
I then wanted to show Andie the Singing in the rain umbrella and on the way back we stopped in the Christmas shop. Love that little shop.
Dinner was a Hollywood and Vine. Good food buffet. And it was good to be inside. They had chicken, pork, steak potatoes, 2 salads, and other stuff I did not write down. Dessert was good too.
It rained a little while we were having dinner. This is only the second time it has rained, (the first night it rained) and by the time dinner was over, the streets were dry. In checking in at home, it's rained every day since we left. And we keep saying, remember it was snowing when we left. tee hee.
After dinner shopped a little, then onto Fantasmic. Great show as always. Not too bad getting out. Took some pictures of the hat on the way out. This'll be the last time we are going to be at MGM, boo hoo, at least until the next trip.
Bus back to the Lodge first. Yea.
We had soup from Roaring forks then into the hot tub and pool. Soup was good, Navy Bean or something like that. We also had BLT's at one point from Roaring Forks, excellent.
Mouskeeping had made boats and put our stuff animals in the boats. By this time we have about 10 stuff animals and one of those monkeys that the hand velcro together, he was swinging from the lamp.
Good day, not as tiring as other days.
In bed before 11.
Tomorrow we have to get up early. We have a behind the scenes tour at AK. Need to be ther by 8:15.
