Can I just show my GAC from a previous trip and say I need the same accommodations? My issues are mental and I'm really uncomfortable talking about them.

You can take you card and tell them that what is stamped on the card worked well for you on your last trip, but they still may question you some, but it will only be to make sure you get all the help you need. We take our sons old card when we go and it does help, but we always have explain his needs.

We have gotten in the habit of bringing a previous card but we do still need to explain why it helped or why we needed it.

I always bring in the old one at the very least it cuts down on the amount of time it takes to go over all of the issues. Once in a while I have to go thru the whole story.

Yes - bring the old one if you still have it. It makes it a lot easier to not have to re-explain everything. :goodvibes

I agree with the other posters - bring the old GAC , but be prepared to explain again. You don't need to talk about your diagnosis, but do need to be able to explain what your needs are and how the GAC helped with your needs.
You should not need to go into great detail, but they do need to know what your general issues are.

Thanks everyone. I guess I'll practice what I'll say over the next couple months til our trip so I'm more comfortable with it along with taking my card.

You can always ask the CM to step to the side so you can describe your issues quietly. It's not like everyone at guest relations has to hear about it you know? :cutie:
