GAC Autism Disneyland

We have been to WDW many times are are well versed in the GAC there...we get one and use it as a Fastpass, etc for my son.

We are taking our first trip to Disneyland next month...does anyone know if the GAC works the same way there. I know at WDW we never bother getting Fastpasses, we just go in the FP line and show our GAC. Is it the same at Disneyland?

It will work the same at the Disney Land park but not at the other park Disney california park except for some dissabilities as they say that the park is set up for equal access use! I think the exception is Autism as they still have some needs that can not be met with the accessible lines!
You dont mention what the issue is for the need of the GAC so thats as much as i can help

Just to mention you will proberly get some remarks on the fact you think that you dont need FPasses due to having a GAC and that the GAC is not ment to make you wait times quicker so be ready! By they way you wont get any from me,As i know how the GAC has worked for me in the past

You should have no problem in the FP line as this is what we did

One thing to remember is that GAC at both WDW and DL is based on NEEDS and not on diagnosis. As a much older park, the "original" DL (Magic Kingdom) was not built with accessibility in mind and therefore accommodations are necessarily at most rides/attractions. As a much newer park, DCA was built to mainstream accessibility therefore reducing the need for acccommodations for many guests. However, as in WDW, it all depends on the individual guest's "needs" what can/will be provided as accommodations with a GAC. I recommend OP go to guest services and discuss her son's invisible needs (not the diagnosis). As in WDW, how the GAC is then handled at each ride/attraction may vary.
