Hi again all, as i posted earlier, im taking my 7 year old bipolar son to SWW in May. When we were down three weeks ago, I went into the MK and got my GAC at city hall.... Had a wonderful time with very few melt downs from him. Cms were great got us on fass pass the entire time.. Now He and I are going back for a surprise trip due to his huge obession and compulsion over starwars. My question is, how does GAC work with meet and greets? We did not wait on line last trip because when he was younger, and melted down less, he got most of characters autographs. Do they honor GAC on character lines or do you just have to wait it out. I cant imagine waiting in line for half hour only to have the character leave like the power rangers do.... He would cause one scene and start hurting himself.. Just trying to avoid as many problems on this solo trip without DH. Thanks, Eileen :teeth:

We have nver used a GAC for the character meets outside. WDW CMs have posted before on the boards that GACs are not used for those, but maybe someone has other experience. I know people have used GACs for the character things that are inside a building (like Mickey's Toontown Fair or whatever it is called now).
We did not go to see the Power Rangers on our last trip (I have DDs, who are not interested), but we did see when the Power Rangers came out and did not see really long lines for them.
You could ask at Guest Relations regarding your GAC question (I'd ask at the park where you want to see those particular characters) and also ask if they have a schedule for when the characters will be where.

Our May trip last year we didn't see long lines at all for the power rangers but a couple of weeks ago over spring break the lines were VERY VERY long for the rangers' autographs. You could only get maybe 1 autograph or two at most. Perhaps with all the people at MGM for the SW thing the lines will be long again for the power rangers. We'd met folks who had kept coming back all day long to finally get all the autographs.

I don't know the answer to the GAC question but I just wanted to note that the lines were indeed wicked. :thumbsup2

Like Sue said, GAC's really don't apply to character greetings. But like everything else, it varies by CM. One time when we waited in a long line for a character, the CM asked if I had a GAC. I said yes, and she almost bawled me out for NOT using it there. But the few other times I checked with a CM, they did say the GAC didn't apply. Then again, I've had other CM's (when we didn't have or show a GAC) pull us to the front.

So - bottom line, very hit and miss. But I think most CM's will try to help if they see a child having a difficult time.

PS - Here now, since yesterday am and haven't needed the GAC!!!!

yes, in regards to the power rangers, my oldest DD wanted to have her pic taken with the power rangers. We waited in line and were the next up when they were called back to there car.. oh well better luck next time. :hippie:
