My MIL lives locally to WDW and will be joining dd and I in the parks for two 1/2 days during our visit. I'm not thinking that renting an ECV from an outside source is worth it in her situation.
She has multiple issues including COPD, diabetes, and a colostomy bag. Originally she indicated to me that she wasn't interested in joining us in the parks but changed her mind last week (we arrive at WDW on Friday!).
She will join us at DHS for an afternoon/evening (including Fantasmic) and then a couple of days later, for a morning/afternoon at Epcot (we may or may not start the day at DHS just to hit TSM again).
MIL has rented an ECV once before in December at DHS, but I wasn't w/ her so I just want to make sure there are no surprises.
From what I understand they are first come, first serve and once they run out that's it...correct? That shouldn't be an issue at Epcot but theoretically could be at DHS, we are expecting to get there around noon or 1pm.
Should she get a GAC card or will having the ECV be enough? MIL is somewhat mobile (ie could transfer and walk short distances), she just can't go all day in the parks.
Is there anything more I should know before we go?
