G4 - Splitting Up

G4 have annouced that they are splitting up at the end of the summer, what a shame, I thought they were doing really well for themselves??

I have enjoyed G4's music since they started and own all 3 of their c.d.s as well as a solo one made by the lead singer Jon Ansell, from before they were famous.

It's sad as they were good. Their summer tour is still going ahead though, and I am looking forward to seeing them again before they "split" for good.

Yeah i heard them on GMTV the other day....they were quite honest about why they were splitting apparently they didnt all see eye to eye.

They don't really hate each other - they are just finding that being together 24/7 is making them get on each others nerves a bit. Jonathan is signing up with Charlotte Church's Manager, Mike is writing a musical, Matt is going back to Uni to teach and Ben is going over to Ireland to work on his music career over there.

In the past 3 years that they have been together they have made quite a bit anyway. (Jonathan runs an Audio Roadstar worth £28,000).

Maybe the time is right for them to split now while they are still relatively speaking, at the height of their fame and still friends to some degree. It would be horrible to end up hating each other just for the sake of the money.

I saw that too, I'm not gutted, but I have enjoyed their style of music - I guess it just made a nice change

The trouble is, you get a group that do well and are a bit different then these production companies put them out on tour, they're together 24 hours a day working, rehearsing, interviewing etc etc they don't get a break at all coa they're just one big money making machine, then everyone wonders why they all fall out!

I must admit though...the blonde guy is gorgeous, i hope he doesnt disappear from the limelight!
