With TT closed, would G+ be wise to get for EP? Last time we were there, we did a good day at EP without G+, but with TT being closed I have a feeling everything else is going to be "longer".

We are thinking about skipping it. ILL Guardians, Rope drop Frozen (coming in from IG due to Skyliner), and then head up to Soarin'.

I also have 3 days in Epcot this trip. My friend will be with them for 2 of them. So not too worried about getting it all finished.

I'm thinking the same of not using it and purchase ILL's for Remy. We have Preteens and Teenagers this trip, so Frozen will be a "wildcard"

Thanks all!

There is no ILL for Remy. There are no rides that are both ILL and Genie+. Remy is Genie+. You could buy Genie+, get a LL for Remy and treat it as though you bought an ILL (not using it for other rides), but you may as well use it for everything it can be used for once you buy it.

Thanks for the heads up

We did. It was the only park we were spending a full day in that didn't have an AH buffering it to give us extra time and we've never done Genie+ so wanted to try it. I've watched so many ear scouts videos I wanted to try his 'slots machine game.' We walked onto things all day. I scored myself a GOTG ILL and I kept checking Remy because it said it was 'unavailable' but just like FP would drop more slots, they drop more LL availability. We were able to score a Remy LL about 40 minutes from our current time so we perused France, got ice cream, watched the beauty and the beast sing along and then went to Remy. It was the last thing we did before leaving the park around 2:30/3pm (just to tell you it was still pretty early in the day). We didn't do test track that trip because it doesn't interest me.

I am a diehard proponent of Fastpass, and now begrudgingly paying for Genie+. However, I can easily see the argument that it is not needed at Epcot. Hollywood studios and Magic Kingdom? Absolutely. Epcot, especially with TT being refurbished I would potentially save the $$$ and spend it on other experiences in the parks.

I used G+ at EPCOT for my solo trip last week and thought it was worthwhile. After riding Frozen using ETPE, I used G+ to avoid long waits at Remy, Soarin', and Spaceship Earth (which had to be evacuated and then I re-rode it later with consolation LL). Of course, when you are shelling out for a larger group, the perspective can change. My sense was that, with TT down and Remy not being reasonable for early entry due to not staying at an IG-friendly resort, I was better off with G+.

Well, when are you going? I might after change my answer if your visit is after July 24.

(I'm partly joking) Though none of us fully knows how the new changes will impact the parks until then.

Even with TT, we haven’t found G+ that useful for Epcot and I expect that’s the same with Multipass. Without a child in the group, we haven’t ridden Frozen in years. It’s nicely done, but like Peter Pan or 7DMT is not “worth” an hour wait. We’ve done G+ on two of our 3 most recent trips, but really only got value out of it by hopping to Hollywood.

On our last trip we didn’t bother. After our Guardians VQ, I single ridered TT while she shopped, and we waited for Soarin’ and Remy at opportune times. Remy is probably a one and done for us. A bunch of screens on a ride isn’t our thing, though i am glad we tried it. Walked back around to some food booths and World Showcase shops, and had some fun on Three Caballeros!

Remy made me more motion sick then Guardians. With Guardians I was fine the whole ride, then had a little bit of not feeling well when it was over. Sitting for a few moments and sipping water helped. With Remy I felt bad 3/4 of the ride and horrible by the end. I had to rest for quite awhile and couldn't even stomach water. So we will be skipping Remy this trip.

Our 2 must dos are Soarin' and Guardians. So we will get an ILL for Guardians. Since we are coming in from the IG, we plan to do Frozen and then go to Soarin'. It will mean a bit of a wait on Soarin' but that's fine.

Obviously we also want to do some of the smaller rides like Living with the Land, Spaceship Earth, Three Caballeros, Nemo... but we have multiple days at Epcot (3 total for me and 2 with my friend). So I truly think we will skip G+ (or whatever the name will be).

Well after the announcement the other day, all of our planning is going to be different now 🤣
