G.A.D. voucher and ID for child

We leave Thurs for DL/DCA, and now my DD says she can't find my grandson's birth cert. to show at the gate. She dosen't think it's a big thing, but I'm worried. Has anyone used the GAD that their child earned?
It says to bring a copy of their birth certificate HELP!

Do you think that his Social Security card would be any help?

I would anticipate problems. The program website and the voucher itself are very specific that positive ID is required in the form of goverment issued photo ID, passport, or birth certificate for a minor. There are other posts on here about people using them and having to show the birth certificate.

By "Thursday" are you meaning that you are leaving tomorrow, or NEXT Thursday? If next week, you may be able to get an expedited copy issued by your county registrar. If not, then you really have no choice but to plan for the worst case scenario.

Does she have the official note from the hospital with the time, date, etc. when he was born? They took that for my DD for the birthday promo last year--it's what you take to the county to get your birth certificate so it's fairly official.

We used his birth certificate last Oct for the birthday promo in WDW, which I can sure understand, because you need to have proof of your birthdate. For this one, since a child has no photo ID, I thought a government issue Social Security card might work. Birthday shouldn't matter.
I fully understand that they did put in the rules to have a birth cert. though, and my DD is still trying to figure out what she did with it since WDW!
]I am calling her now, she works overnights and my have to swing by our local Vital Records office on her way home....

Update...
Well, we are back from our trip and I wanted to say that we were able to use my DGs's GAD voucher without a birth certificate.
I stressed over it, as my DD couldn't find it to take. She brought his SS card and vaccination records, and even paperwork from the hostpitale he was born at. The CM didnt really look at them, but said it would just be a moment, and we waited for a supervisor who wrote down my DL info, an that was it! They didnt make us feel bad for not having the proper ID. Ittook an extra 5 mins, but all was good.
Oh, and WE HAD AN AWESOME TIME!
