FYI Wolfgang Puck Express in changing it's menu next week

Back from the world today....sad to be home but wanted to share that we were told they are changing the menu effective Wednesday.
 
I hope the new menu is posted quickly, I'd like to see the changes.
 
Eeek. I hope it is only to add more. I don't want any favorites to disappear!
 

Hope they don't take the cream brulee off the menu, it is one of my favorite deserts!

I hope not either, because it is the BEST Creme Brulee in all of WDW...probably the whole real world............love it!!!
 
Wow, I MUST try this creme brulee! I loved it at Le Cellier and back at the Concourse restaurant when it was open. I can't wait to try it at WPE. Thank you for the tip!

Um, it's pretty good creme brulee especially for being served at a counter-service restaurant, I mean if you like creme brulee you'll probably like it; but it's not that good. I haven't had Le Cellier's, but Jiko's and Narcoossee's creme brulee are way better than WPE, and allegedly the absolute best creme brulee at Disney World is in the France pavilion.

Agree that WPE's creme brulee is not all-that - we were quite under-whelmed with it; and now we actually prefer the frozen yogurt for dessert there.

We liked Chefs de France creme brulee...and Kona Cafe's creme brulee is also very good.

to Original Poster - did they give you any hints about new menu?
 
1) Wolfgang Puck is no longer owned by Wolfgang.
2) None of them at WDW.
3) Levy Restaurant Group has owned them for 2-3 years.
4) They also own Portobella's and Fulton's in DTD.
5) They are now getting around to changing the menus.

Agreeing with this - it's good but it's not the best creme brulee at WDW. My favorite is at Flying Fish. It might be the best one you can get at a counter service restaurant though.
 
Grr. I've never eaten here and it was on the agenda for 1st day lunch! Hope the new menu is posted soon so I can figure out if I need to change my plans! DH might be onto soemthing with Cookes of Dublin. ;)

This was our favorite place......We will go back in October I will be anxious to see what changes.

Oh no, I hope they don't change the roast beef pocket-that's my favorite! And dd loves the pizza. I guess we will have to check out the new menu this weekend.


As for the creme brulee, WPE is good but I think the best CS creme brulee is at Sunshine Seasons.
 
I hope they don't take the pizzas off the menu! My DH loves those! I am excited to see how they are changing the menu though! :)
 
Another vote for WPE having the best creme brulee on WDW property. We've tried them all -- including V&A. The only drawback is that it is prepared ahead of time. Even with that drawback, it's still the best -- far better than Jiko, Narcoosee's and the rest.

I can't imagine, however, that menu changes bode well. It's always been great. I suspect they will bring the menu more in line with the reimbursement they get from the DDP for quick service meals.

We used to love WP Cafe. Out last visit there was highly disappointing. They've cut the menu to about 1/3 of its former size. We won't go again.

I expect the same changes at WPE.

In other words, the DDP strikes again.
 
I'm totally ok with WPE changing thier menu. I was there in January and the ONLY thing on the entire menu that was gluten-free was the roasted chicken and salad.

that meant that EVERYTHING else on the menu had some sort of flour / wheat additive. Even the mashed potatos (which means they are not made from real potatos, but from dehyrated flakes that have gluten additives in the mix).

I hope when they do change they add some more natural, whole foods to the choices. I had always thought of WPE Express as high-quality and it was sad to see that so much of thier food offerings were "not natural."

That is great! My mom is a celiac so that is wonderful news for her!
 
This is one of the best values for your QS credit, I am sure they have to adjust somehow as so many people have caught on to that. I also love Earl, but WPE you get more bang for your dining credit.
