Hey everyone, I just wanted to let you know that if you ar egoing to use DVC points to book a room at DLP that the requirement to purchase Length of Stay tickets is no longer in effect. The only cost is the $95 exchange fee in addition to points.

Member Services is no longer even transacting for park tickets. That can be handled at Check In at your DLP hotel.

Thanks for the info! We recently decided against using our DVC points because a package for the same room for our family of 4 came out only about $350 more expensive booked through the Irish DLP site after factoring in the $95 fee and the length of stay tix.

Thank you so much. I had called about this to MS and of course the 2 nites, 3 day of park tickets and $95USD was ridiculous.

We are moving to Europe and this will be my new Disney for the next two years. I am trying to figure out a way to enjoy it more as I was sorely disappointed when we saw DLP two years ago.

But it is like Disney and the attention to detail is amazing. Now with just points and $95 I see a lot of DLH in our future.

Thanks OP. Is there information on DVC member or someplace else with details?

thanks for this info. about time too. we stayed on points some years back before you had to buy for tickets and it was not a good use of points even then but completely ruled it out once the tickets were made compulsory

Having bought resale, i can't see the point cost (i would consider renting or swapping my points from someone who bought direct). Can anyone give me an idea of the per night costs in Feb, March and April ? thanks

Don't you have to buy the tickets once there anyway? I don't understand the difference. Maybe you plan to not buy the ticket for first and last day?

Also some people like to base themselves at DLP but spend some days doing other things such as going into Paris so they dont need tickets for those days either

For some, maybe they don't want or need that length of stay pass... For us, I'm still going to buy one anyway... We'll be in the park for our 3 days as the Eurostar leaves in the early evening.

But you are not required to buy tickets at all...

The point totals are high and not all too reasonable unless you have a decent number of 'use or lose' points.

Well said! THis is the reason I didn't use my DVC points when visiting DLP. The point rates are extremely high and to me the $95 is like extra salt in the wound.
