FYI: Safety Tatoos

Just wanted to let you DISers know that there is a new product out there called safety tatoos. It is essentially the same thing as the bracelets, but if you have little ones like me the bracelets are too big for the wrists and these are a good alternative. Just a thought!!

We didn't worry about the bracelet being to large for ds (2yo)...we just put it on his ankle instead of his wrist!

DS 20 months doesn't like to leave his on his wrist, his ankle, nothing, found him with it off in the stroller haveing a little teething session with it, gnawing away at it, so they just don't work for us, this was a good alternative.

I saw these tattoos in this months Parents magazine. They look pretty neat. The ones in there were $20 for 30, which is a bit much.

we used "totoos" on our last trip. I think they were cheaper than the other site.Tthey worked out well but got "grimy" after a day and you really needed nail polish remover to get them off and you had to scrub! Luckily, we never had to see if they worked since we didn't lose anyone!
Funny aside- my DH said to my daughter (she's 7- but didn't know my new cell # by heart) "would you rather be lost forever and live with a new family or walk around this week with that on your arm?!" Luckily, she gets his humor.

went to babys r us today and bought my "kid-leash"..lol..looked for bracelets and they acted like they had no idea. the tatoos are a great idea, but WHO SELLS THE BRACELETS?

The bracelets are those rubbery ones that everyone wears.

www.kidssafetybands.com sells them. You can get youth sizes for over 5 and XXsmall for 2-5 which is nice. My daughter is small and uses the XXsmall

I ordered ours from here. They worked great for both my 2yo (on his ankle) and 6yo (on her wrist). I ordered four so I could have a backup for each child. They cost less than $12 shipped...and we got them in less than a week!
