following the thread on cakes, i wanted to let you know i contaccted gardengrocer yesterday, im cheap:lmao:, they said the could ddeliver a custom cake from publix, which, at half the cost of a wdw cake, might be worth considering for some...
this is the one im considering getting for our anniversary-

WOW WOW WOW

Will greengrocer deliver other publix cakes that are in your link with the normal shoppping from them??

Tracy, that looks incredible. Your grown up evening out is going to be one to remember. Does your DH know about the cake or is it a surprise?

cake is a suprise, i wanted to get a "proper" disney one, but they come out between $70 and $150 $$, tbh, there are other things id rather spend that one!!
told you i was cheap!
tracy

Oooooh! Other half's birthday while we're out there in September so might get one of these as would make for a great surprise!

That said he's expressed the desire for a Peanut Butter Silk pie from Perkins which is even cheaper so who am I to argue :lmao:

WOW!! That looks yummy! Think I will order one! How does Garden Grocer work? Can you pick a certain day for them to deliver, or does it have to be the day you check in? Do they deliver to the room, or do you have to collect fromr eception?

v good service, they said we just had to be specific on what we required, i think ill just email them the link i posted, there are some lovely cakes on the publix site, may ahve to order more than 1!!

The cakes lovely Tracy:thumbsup2:thumbsup2, thanks for the tip its worth knowing:worship:

wow that cake looks fab, we always buy the cheaper supermarket cakes and we think they taste really good. disney charge way to much and some folks don't like them on the cake thread so really not worth the big bucks

let us know what it tates like :)

i agree, if i spend $20 and its ok ish, fair enough, if i spend $150 and its awful, i d be gutted:scared1:
i ll certainly let you know if its good;)

lets get the pool party one for wayne and co!!

Maybe you should save it for next year when there is no dessert on the dining plans

So have you planned your night out now? You've waited so long for it! Maybe with the money you save on the cake you could get a limo. ;) Are you going to get something as a surprise for your DH for the evening? If you do you should post on here that you are planning to without saying what it is and leave the screen open for him to read so he knows to get you something special too :upsidedow
