FYI - Parking for Hartford - We had trouble

Just wanted to let you know this if you fly out of Hartford - We flew out on 10/16, party of 8 with 2 cars. We had a Park, Sleep and Fly package booked with the Baymont Inn. (We have used these packages out of Providence before and always left our car right at the hotel and taken our keys with us.) We checked in early on Saturday, left for a wedding and came back at about 10:00 pm. I told the desk clerk that we had the airport package and asked where we should be parking. She said that as long as we were not against the building we would be OK. The next morning while getting ready to head over to the airport we were told that we had to move the cars to a parking lot next door, Piccollo Avistar, and leave the keys. We did so and went on out way. After returning to the lot at the end of our trip we discovered that one of the cars had been gone through and something taken out of it. An incident report was filed with the lot attendant and the Windsor Locks police were called. I asked the officer who responded if they had ever had any complaints with this lot and he hesitated before saying that yes they had and he would never leave his car there. I don't know what the outcome of the situation will be but I wanted to let you know about our experience. Thanks for reading.

if you need to fly from hartford again, try Executive Valet www.ExecutiveValet.com . its not a sleep and fly package, but we've used them about 6 times, and have had nothin but fantastic service. i think there might be a sleep and fly at the airport hotel (i wanna say marriot or hilton).

Sorry to hear of your problem.

With long-term airport parking starting at $36 a week and long-term garage parking attached to terminal 2 at $69 a week, why did you need to go off airport? I park here at lot 5B when I'm feeling cheap and the garage when less cheap and have never had an issue with security nor have I had to leave my keys. Here's the official parking link:

We were attending a wedding about an hour from Hartford on Saturday and flying out on Sunday. We would have had to stay overnight somewhere so we chose to do it as a hotel package near the airport, figuring it would be easier with 5 kids to be close to the airport. We have done Park, Stay and Fly packages before and never had a problem. We have also used Executive Valet before, as well as other parking lots and again, never had a problem. We figured this trip would be as uneventful as all others had been. We will definitely be more cautious on future trips.
