FYI- Justice/ Limited Too

We were in Limited Too today and noticed a bunch of Justice brand clothes- justice heart, tag in shirt, and even sales tag said Justice. When I asked the sales lady, she said all Limited Toos were being converted to Justice stores- there would be no more Limited Toos but you could still shop from LTD2 online and online only. She said they were told it was for customer satisfaction..
Anyone else heard this? At least 1/2 the store today was Justice merchandise. Which is fine with us- we prefer Justice clothes for dd9 and rarely bought anything but webkinz from lmtd 2. Just found it interesting and thought I'd share what I heard...

I had heard that Justice bought Limitied Too. I agree we prefer Justice. I think the clothes fit better. We were at the mall and I noticed the same thing with the store be half and half. I didn't think you could order anything LT. Do you know if you can use your gift cards at Justice, or your Too bucks? I have not heard.

Interesting...Justice is usually a little cheaper than Limited2. But I can't see how they can convert ALL of them to Justice. At least by us, where there is a Justice, there is a limited2 a few stores down.

Justice and Limited Too are owned by the same company. Back in the summer, they announced that they were dropping the Limited Too brand name and converting all their Limited Too stores to Justice stores. There are also plans to close some of the Limited Too stores instead of converting them.

As far as two bucks and lmtd 2 discount cards go- I don't know. I'd think Justice would be obligated to accept them until they expire and of course once the last ones expire and the stores are converted, that won't be a problem anymore... I don't have any lmtd 2 ones, so I didn't ask.

They are *sister* stores, like Gap and Old Navy. And LTD2 is essentially going out of business and being replaced by Justice. No surprise to us, as LTD2 is just so ridiculously overpriced. Even my 11 and 8 year old DDs won't shop there when they spend their own money (a long-sleeved t-shirt is normally $30). Justice is still not as cheap as Target, but it is definitely more reasonable.

When we were at LTD2 yesterday, exchanging xmas gifts, we were told that we can start using our TooBucks at Justice stores, and that all of the LTD2 stores in our area (western NY) would become Justice stores in February.

I just went to Justice today to exchange a pair of pants I bought my daughter for Christmas. Somehow I grabbed the wrong size off the rack - doh!

Anyway, I'd planned to ask for an even exchange but the pants were now on the clearance rack. They had every size other than the one I needed so I returned them instead - thank goodness I had my receipt with me b/c the "clearance" price is five dollars more than I paid for a pre-holiday "sale". Whatever. I'm not really impressed with the pricing games so I'm not sure I'll shop there again no matter what they call the place. (And? Limited Too always struck me as a little hoochie mama.)

BUT, to bring this sort of on-topic, the register had a little sign on it to see the manager with questions about Limited Too so it looks like the consolidation is happening pretty fast.

This has been very upsetting to my older girls.... We LOVE Limited too,, and when they outgrew Gymboree (which was the only brand they wore until 2nd grade-ish), we were happy to have the quality of Limited Too. Justice seems to be more on the level of the Children's Place- not bad, but, not exceptional, either. They just don't do a lot of the detailing or more intricate pieces that my girly girls have always loved. They seem to be more casual, and, their colors are more muted than Limited Too. It is a very sad day here. Anyone have suggestions on a comparable teen - inspired store that features more detailed designs? I can't imagine only ordering online..... Oh well, not really such a great worry- just a frustration.....

I like kc parker a lot and hope they're still around when my daughter is older. KCP is a sister brand to Hartstrings. The styles and colors are current, while being appropriate for the tween ages. Now that Talbot Kids has been closed, I've got my eye on KCP for sure.
