I called to book a package the Tuesday before Thanksgivng week. I could not understand why they were making me dine at 4:30pm when there are two shows at 6:00 pm and one at 8:00 pm. They confirmed the two show times. I called back to verify and they told me they are offering the dinner package only with the earlier show. Just thought I would pass this on. I told them to cancel now so I could think about it. I am not sure how hard it would be to get in the 8:00 show the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. I guess if they are not doing the dinner package at that show there would be more seats available. Any one have any thoughts on this? Thanks.

I was given prety much the same info when I called to check on details for the Friday after Thanksgiving. Dining times started as early as 3:30 pm. You could not eat after the 6 pm Fantasmic show and they were not offering the package for the 8:00 pm show.

It's been my experience that when there are two showings of Fantasmic, the second show is less crowded than the first. Not sure if this holds true during the season that the Osbourne Lights are displayed, though.

We won't be getting the package. Dining packages generally provide more food than I can eat at one time and in the case of this FDP, I really don't like that you have to order off a special menu. JMHO.

CarolMN: I think we will just see if we can get in the second show without the package. Hopefully the two shows can handle the extra crowds. I am just glad I called back. The first CM told me I could do the 8:00 show with the package but I just had to eat by 4:30. Thanks for confirming that there is not a dinner package for the later show. Have a great trip.:D

I feel the same way as all of you. I did not want to eat my dinner that early even if it meant I would have a guaranteed seat. I was hoping for dinner after the show. I do understand however that post-show dining would not work.

Thanks for the heads up about the special menu. That alone cancels it for me. With a pricey menu at BD anyway , I want to choose something I really want. Also, DH does not eat red meat or much meat of any other type!

We will also be there during Thanksgiving week, and I guess we will have to build in the "arriving early" time for a Fantasmic show.

It's a disappointment.
