I called Member Services this morning to try to change a reservation in January to Bay Lake Tower. Apparently, all reps have been informed that no reservations for BLT can be added, removed, or altered in any way today. They have been advised to tell members to call back tomorrow. It is apparently due to some computer glitch.

Please update this thread if you happen to find out that the glitch has been fixed, and/or you are able to make a change involving BLT today.

Thanks for posting this. I was just about to call MS about a BLT reservation. I'll wait until tomorrow.

I'm so glad I booked my 1 BR MK view for May when I called yesterday!

We'll never know until after it's over, but maybe it's not a glitch, but adding a bunch more rooms to inventory (and filling waitlists before putting in new reservations!)

That's the first thought that popped into my mind, too. :)

That would be great if they were adding inventory and filling waitlists.

I have a waitlist for ONE night in October. I'll be checking the member website first thing tomorrow morning. Let's all hope that they grant alot of wishes today!

Just checked my ressies as we are waitlisted for a MK view in Spetember.... nothing has changed, still hoping our wish comes true!!

Us too. Hopefully someone calls today and reports back what they are told.

Just called for the second time today. This morning they were able to check availability, but acted a little strange about it, and now apparently they're once again unable to check availability or make reservations for BLT. They hope to have it back up late this afternoon. Not sure what's going on!

Oh wow... I am sorry! Everything was working this morning. We got our reservations for BLT around 9 or so.

I posted this on another thread, but this morning I was able to get one of my waitlisted nights for the end of Dec. at BLT but we are still waitlisted for the 31st & 1st. They are waitlisted individually so I'm hoping that gives us more of a chance, otherwise we'll be moving back & forth between SSR & BLT. Should make for an interesting trip. :rolleyes1

I am curious how you got the individual day waitlists? It was well before BLT booking started that they eliminated that option.

You're still allowed to have 2 waitlists at one time.

That is true, but the waitlist rule change that happened last year was that any consecutive days are supposed to be under one waitlist. You need to match both in order to have it fill. That happened at the same time as the booking change allowing you to book 7 days from the check-in day.

I did a search on the DIS & from what I've been reading it sounds like MS changed the ruling to allow it if you are trying to "fill" a vacation as we are. We have a day at BLT at the beginning of our stay & then 2 nights at the end of our stay. So maybe that's why they allowed it? :confused3

Edited because the more I've been reading, I'm not sure whether that is really correct. I've seen others get 2 consecutive nights on 2 separate waitlists so maybe that consecutive only pertains to more than 2 nights? I've seen people try to get a waitlist for 3 nights & then 4 & I see how they wouldn't be allowed, but apparently 2 is. So not sure if they allowed it because the days in the middle & it's only 2 nights or just because it's only 2 whether it was the beginning, middle or end. I guess if you really want to find out, MS would be the one to give the correct answer. I'm only going by what I've been reading about waitlists.

That's all interesting to hear. My understanding was that all day by day waitlists had been eliminated and had never heard anything about allowing two but not more. I will have to remember to ask MS about it the next time I call. Or maybe you got an extra helpful CM that gave you the best chance to get both days.

Either way - good luck on getting those days!
