Yes, it's great that our government finally has a plan...Japan started theirs in 1997. Britain, Canada, and Australia also already have plans and have had them for some time. Considering that a pandemic could wipe out more people than terrorists ever could, it's surprising (?) that the US government hasn't acted sooner.

Just to put some of this into perspective:

the "plan" calls for enough vaccines for 20 million people.

There are almost 300 million people in the US.

Those vaccines will be marked for first responders, the military and whomever they decide are "most vunerable".

I kind of think this is exciting; it's just like a movie.

I already bought an emergency first aid kit and a box of Nexcare face masks. I am going to buy some bottled water and canned foods. If this things hits, I'll lock myself in my bedroom. I've got TV, phone, internet, food, water, and the bathroom is right next to me. This better not be another Y2K thing..I was mad about that. My family thought I was a fool to stockpile stuff for that.
