We are flying on US AIR and I just found this on thier website about bringing your wedding dress on boards.

Wedding Dresses
We can accommodate your wedding dress as long as you can place it in the overhead bin.

We recommend that you store the dress in a garment bag and fold it in half. We have found that folding it in half causes the least amount of wrinkling. The maximum size garment bag is 54 inches.

we are flying on usair and i had contacted them by phone and also by email about flying with my dress... they said that they had no where to hang it and mentioned that 54 inch rule. i have to go David's Bridal and try to fold the dress that I bought. Mine's on order so I'll fold the one in the store... It's so poofy I don't know if it will fold! fingers crossed! Thanks for sharing the info you found too!
