FW : What do you bring to get around??

In the past I had always brought hubby's ECV to the Fort and used it like a golf cart, but I now have a bicycle and a carrier :-)

BUT, until I can figure out how to stop from starting my day at one end of the campground and ending my day at the other end of the campground, I'll still use the buses to get to either end of the campground to go to the parks.
Since they changed the park bus routes so they all leave from the same place now you have a better chance unless you go to the MK.

We bring bikes and rent a golf cart. I saw a family with rollerblades and they were really struggling to get up the hill over by the bike barn. We had to stop and wait for them, but it gave us some good entertainment.

Thats Awesome, and I feel so guilty for thinking it:rolleyes1 .
If we don't have the cart ( which is rare) we bring bikes and an electric scooter.

They were having a ball. The mom was laughing and she apologized for making us wait but we had the grins so she knew we weren't irritated. It was cool. :thumbsup2

Another difficult place for the rollerblades is the bridge and I'm sure around the stables and Mickey's BBQ.

We always bring our bikes, and use those and the internal buses to get around. We've never rented a golf cart. They look like fun, but we're usually not in the campground enough to justify $50 a day to rent one. We love riding our bikes through the campground and use them to go to the pool, trading post, etc. If we're going to the settlement or outpost to catch a boat or bus to the parks, we'll usually take the internal bus rather than leave our bikes there.

Bikes are part of what makes the Fort special for us, we don't leave home without them:

We always bring our bikes. Have used golf cart but it gets very expensive. You can bike anywhere in the park in a few min.

We bring the golf cart & bikes but I have seen kids with roller blades or skateboards.
I agree with Sinclare- bikes make it fun- my nephews vacation too when we go and they always bring their bikes (even when they stay at the hotel and we have to lug them in our TT) because biking at the Fort is part of vacation.
