Will we still be able to catch the ferry from FW back to MK following the campfire / movie? Should we drive instead? Is there guest parking for those coming in from another resort for the campfire?

You will easily be able to get a boat back to MK after the campfire/movie. There is a big parking lot at the entrance to FW that you can park in and then grab a bus to the campfire.

The MK Launch stops running an hour after the park closes. So it's probably not a problem during summer months, but I can imagine on a double-feature night in low season when the MK closes quite early it might be a concern. Just be aware when making your plans.

:santa:

Yeah we advertise 1 and a quarter hours after closing. Most pilots will not pick anyone up after the 45 minute past park closing has passed.

And for clarification the boats that go from MK to FW are cruisers :thumbsup2

Cruisers? Cool, first time I've heard that. Good to have a pilot aboard! Hey, what are the small launches to Contemporary called?

I had that same exact thing happen once.

You are a pilot? :cool1: :cool1: My DH did not think he would like WDW very much (he went along the first trip cause I made the reservations and our boys were little and my folks were camping too) but once we were all set up at the campsites and dinner was done, we (my parents and I) introduced him and my DS's to an old family tradition...first night at FW boat ride. He was hooked LOL!! I think it was a combination of his love for boats and and hearing the wonder in our both our boys voices when they saw the castle for the very first time and it was lit up so very pretty :lovestruc That is his disney dream job. Everytime we get down to FW, he looks forward "down days" when he has time to just hop on a boat a ride and if the pilot has time and it seems like a quiet ride, he will visit a little and ask a couple questions.

OK, so MK closes at 10:00 on the evening I want to catch a movie this month. Should we drive to FW just to be safe?
