FW - petting area

I'm trying to plan our Dec. trip, (which we are short on time, due to a Disney cruise too...), and was wondering if an hour at the petting area at Ford Wilderness is enough time to let our 2 yr. old dd see the animals? We wanted to do this before/after a the Trail's End lunch there...

I would think one hour at any petting zoo would be plenty. If I recall correctly, it is just a small one.

An hour should be enough time. They also have pony rides right there at the petting zoo.

An hour is plenty of time. The pony rides are really cute. I think they were $2 or $3. You can also go and see the horses in the horse barn. We saw the small white ones that pull Cinderella's carriage. They also have a small playground too. My DD (3 years) loved FW in October.

LOL, I only looked at this out of sheer curiousity...

I was wondering why someone was looking for info on the petting zoo under Disney Restaurants...some people have some real particular settings that they enjoy!

The petting zoo also has pony rides during the day...and there is a fun playground nearby too to work off that lunch, for the little ones...

...after I posted the question, I thought, "why did I post this here?". I just got a little carried away with my other posts! So, I did at least go back and edit the post to mention that we were wanting to go after our lunch at Trails End!

We had a late lunch at the Trail's End in April and a visit to the petting farm and a $3.00 pony ride for dd.

One hour is plenty even with a pony ride. I found the thing that took the most time was driving to FW and taking the bus to the restaurant. S
