Welcome!:goodvibes

Make sure you leave at least one day just for the Fort. If you haven't thought about it, you should consider a golf cart. Go to Fort FAQ for better deals from off-site companies(We just used Kenny and he was the best!)

Go to the Bingo(at the outdoor movie theater) on Fri., Sat., and Sunday if you are at the campground. It is so much fun and if it is not crowded you will be sure to win a great prize! They have other daily act. but that is the only one we did.

Make sure you take your own smore making stuff and enjoy the campfire, sing-a-long, and movie at least one night(preferably not on the weekend!)

Go watch Wishes from the beach, you can actually hear it there too! Stay for the Electrical Light Parade around 9:45. It is so cool!

I could go on, but those are my favs for The Fort!

Have a great trip, just make sure the a/c is working before you leave, lol!:)

welcome!

agreeing on the AC thing...you don't wanna even think about june in florida with no AC.

if you can take your bikes or golf cart with you to explore the fort. you can rent either there, but the carts can be pricey. there is something just awesome about a nice ride up to the dock with the "atmosphere music" on the path up near pioneer hall.

if you are into boating at all, rent yourself a mouse boat (or whatever they call them now) from the dock and go explore. you can venture all the way up to MK in those things. we like this so much that we get the family plan (or whatever they call it) so we can use them as much as we like during our stay.

be sure to take full advantage of the transport boats from the docks. we never bus to MK or Epcot. boat to MK then monorail to TTC then monorail to Epcot. granted that trip to/from Epcot takes a while, but in general we are not in a hurry anymore when we visit. (we actually drive to AK and DS - but we are bus haters.)

again - welcome, happy planning, and watch out....the camping forum gets silly quick. (just don't mention beer or otters and you should be fine....crap, there i went.)

Hi and welcome to the boards!! Tough question....its really hard to sum the fort up in just a few sentences. Its an expensive campground.....but not without reason. Theres more crap to do there than you could ever rattle off in a paragraph or two. Ive never seen anyone on here in the last 2 years that Ive been reading the boards ever have a real complaint about the campground itself...some small issues with staff occassionally, but you'll soon find out that this place is, without a doubt, one of the most FUN campgrounds on the map....no matter what age you are...one visit and you'll have a new favorite vacation spot. Browse the boards, tons and tons of information and ideas, hints, and suggestions....and you may even run across a few funny comments here and there(people who regularly post on this board are freakin KRAZY!!)

AC works great here in TX, but when we did a ski trip in CO for the first time in it the Heat DID not work...yeah,...fun times with electric blankets (watch out not to blow fuses, and then have electric heaters going then...getting home and taking in to be fixed it worked right off the bat with them and then worked from there on out..including the second ski trip to CO! go figure! :confused3
