Regarding Chip N Dales Campfire Sing-a-long:


This is a MUST DO on our list.

Probably a night we are winding down. Is this offered in February. At what time?

Is this a MUST-SEE?

I found the phone number and called myself... In February it is offered at 630PM every night!

Is it FUN?

Not sure where you called, hopefully the bike barn at FW, but the campfire generally starts at 7pm in the winter months. If you go to the camping board and read the FAQs you will find plenty of info about the campfire from people who spend plenty of time at FW(or atleast dreaming about FW).

It is fun, for kids especially. Chip and dale come out and meet and greet, take pics.ect. Then they have this ginourmous kettle with fire in it...please watch the kiddies around this!! But they sell mellows and kits to make smores..then the movie starts around 7:40. Friday and Sat, they play 2 movies. I liked it, the kids had a blast. I have 3 kids, they were 11,7 and 3 at the time.

1) We like to have dinner at Trails End, then go to the Campfire.
2) It makes a GREAT first night to wind down after the journey to WDW.
3) The Campfire is held year-around, weather permitting.
4) It starts at 7:00pm in the winter, but there is marshmallow roasting at 6:30pm.
5) It starts later during the summer months.
6) You can bring your own marshmallows and Smore-makin's or buy it there.

Nope -- you don't have to stay at the campground -- anyone can attend.

I think it would be fun to have a "down night" in the middle of our trip to do this. I noticed the Electrical Water Pageant also goes by the marina. I can't tell distance from the map...

Is it possible to go to the campfire, walk down to the marina and come back? We will be there in June.

You wouldn't want to walk to the marina from the campfire (the camground is HUGE), but you could easily take an internal bus from one to the other. Not hard to do! We love the campfire, and never miss watching a movie under the stars...

We had wanted to try out this campfire, too, but never made it. On our last trip in January...we finally did. It was great. I can't believe something so fun is FREE at Disney.

It's not a bad walk from the campground to the marina at all. Only about 5-10 minutes! I do it all the time!! As a matter of fact, when I stay in 1500, I rarely even use the buses, just walk to either Settlement or Outpost

Got to agree with this. The walk from the campfire show to the marina is very pleasant, and paved all the way too. From Outpost to Settlement is about 1 mile the campfire show is more than half way to the marina.
