has anyone ever stayed at the FW Cabins?

How are they?

I am used to a huge off site apartment.. will I feel cramped in?

Are they dark? They look cute, but a bit dark from the pictures and are there lots of bugs?

And remind me what channels you get on disney tv?! :happytv:

I remember the TV being really limited when we last stayed on property!

How about driving? can you park there? can you walk to the pools?

As you can tell, Im not really a camper and I like my luxury!

What about the bed size? It says full size, but what is that in english? A 5ft?

Would love to hear from anyone who has stayed there!

thanks so much for your help!

We stayed in the WL cabins Dec 2000 and we loved it!! Our DD's were 3 and 6 at the time. There was plenty of room in the kitchen/living/dining area. However the bedroom was pretty small, there was (I think) a double bed and bunk beds. We didn't use the bed in the bedroom, instead we used the sofa bed. We needed the bed in the bedroom to put our suitcases on, we had to keep a lot of our clothes in them because there wasn't enough room to put all our clothes away. Mind you, because of the time of year we went, we had to take a lot of stuff with us! I can't remember about the TV, as we didn't watch it an awful lot. We didn't drive, we used Disney transport the whole of the two weeks and we never had a problem. You can also take the ferry over to MK. Our cabin was close to the pool so we were able to walk to it. I'm not sure how many pools there are, so I suppose that some people could end up having a ways to go to the closest pool. You can rent golf buggies to get around. They seem to be very popular. We didn't find any bugs, which really suprised me, but again I suppose that it could depend on what time of year that you go. As I said we absolutely loved staying there. We found it very quiet and relaxing.

Hope that this helps! :goodvibes

We have stayed there three times and are going back next august, the cabins can be a bit dark but when you put the lights on its ok,they have a proper kitchen with dishwasher fridge/freezer(Us size) microwave and cooker, the living room has a TV and video player, we sleep on the pull down bed as it is slightly bigger than the bed in the bedroom, the bedroom is very useful it has a double and bunk beds, we can put the boys to bed, and then relax in the living area without disturbing them. there are two pools one down by the meadows trading post and one opposite the higher cabin loops, did not see much wildlife when we were there just a few armadillos rustling through the undergrowth at twilight, the housekeepers keep the cabins immaculate they even put the washing up into the dishwasher if you happen to forget in the morning. You can park you car right alongside your cabin and can use it to nip to the trading post for supplies, but we prefer to hire a golfcart as the kids enjoy riding around the whole campsite, there are playareas and basket ball/volly ball courts dotted around, also you can hire bikes to get around on, we also enjoy the nightly campfire and disney films.
