The last time we were at Epcot, i use and ecv, the character spot line didn't allow you to get in line in an ecv. So, essentially I would wait an hour by myself, and the same for my DH.

Has this changed at all? Do they allow scooters in the line?
At one point I do remember being allowed in the line, but not the last trip, and we stopped several times.

Thanks,

Just to clarify, are you talking about the permanent Character greeting spot inside a building in Future World or some outdoor non-permanent character greeting?

And where were you waiting for an hour? Was that with your ECV or without it?

If you are refering to the character spot that has Mickey. Minnie, ect, then I can tell you whaat we saw happen on or trip in April. They allowed us to use our special needs stroller in the line, but a family came in that had an ECV with them and the CM had the EVC ( with rider of course) wait at a gate that was next to the characters, once the family rest of the family that had gone through the line made it to the front, the CM opened the gate and they all meet the characters. With the was the line was set up we had a heck of a timetrying to make the turns with our stroller so I don't see how ( unless they have widened the line) you could make it on an EVC. I was happy to see that htey had a plan in place. Maybe they could do this for your family as well.

Yes, I am talking about the permanant character spot. I just don't like the way its set up so I have to wait by myself to the side, and my husband stands in line by himself...
I don't think that is a solution personally. I wouldn't think it would take much to make the lanes wider since they are not permanant in the ground, but movable.

I guess we can stop in and see if things have changed or not.

is it just for ecvs? or for wheelchairs/powerchairs too?

I am just curious because i cannot wait alone (seizures, sensory problems, all kinds of things), but i use a powerchair, and i cannot get out of it... I am just curious...

I dont think that telling people they have to wait alone is ok. it is a family vacation, so i dont think its ok to tell people they have to leave their family...

I would be interested to see how this works...

I've gone through that line a few different times in my manual chair. I've never had a problem with the turns. But I can't say how tight it would be for others.

I agree that it is not a fair thing to ask a family to separate and taht may not be the offical way that it is supposed to happen, but that is what they told the person in line with us. I hope that maybe some other ECV users will post their experinces with it just for compairson.
