No news here, just pondering what the future of One Man's Dream might look like. I know a lot of people have suggested they would like to see it moved back to Main Street in the Magic Kingdom but personally I would like to see to EPCOT. I have a couple of reasons why, the first being that I would really like to see One Man's Dream turn into something big, not just a walk through attraction that people go into to kill time or take advantage of the air conditioning, but a real museum that guest want to see. I would like to see them expand the collection and add to it. For example, instead of just seeing a few boards where you read about Steamboat Willy or the Old Mill actually have an area where you can sit and watch them if you want to. Obviously when you get to the feature films that would not be possible, but maybe they can have a montage of some of the big films like Mary Poppins, Snow White, Bambi, etc. And with the American Experience documentary coming up in the next few weeks, (which I am extremely excited about, American Experience does incredible work) maybe they could partner with PBS and use some of that footage in the attraction. After all, PBS would probably love the sales that would probably be generated from having their DVD's for sale in the. The other reason I think it's appropriate for this park is because EPCOT really was Walt's big dream, and while I know that the end product was not his vision at all, it was the major reason he started the Florida Project in the first place and that we now have Walt Disney World. The final and most practical reason, is that EPCOT has a significant amount of un-used and under-used space. They could probably easily adapt one of them to add in the museum that Walt deserves on the property. While I would love to see One Man's Dream in the Magic Kingdom for nostalgia reasons, I really don't think Magic Kingdom has the space available that a real museum to Walt should have. Just my thoughts on the matter.
