Future of Evening EMH

Anybody have an educated guess on what's going to happen with evening EMH? I know it's only a test ...


We're going in mid-July and it would be great if evening EMH is continued.

I've read other posts saying that since E-nights have been announced for July, there's no way that they'll have evening EMH in July. Can't they just cancel e-nights? It's not like you purchase the tickets way in advance.

If Disney can cancel a cruise, don't think they won't cancel a few e-ride nights. And, the schedule doesn't HAVE to be the same as it was for the test program. If they made money, then you'll see it implemented as soon as possible.

Here's something else to think about...Ever see a test program (widely advertised) as NOT being implemented?

Disney has budgeted through the end of summer. It is predicted that the evening EMH will not implemented until the new fiscal year begins. The trial was to give them the summer to figure out glitches, schedule, etc. Then when the new budget period begins, evening EMH can be implemented fully and more successfully since they learned from mistakes during the trial period. This was posted by a cast member at another board and sounds reasonable to me. I wouldn't hope for July evening EMHs at this point, but anything could change.

If WDW cancelled E-Ride Nights, I think there would be quite an uproar. The woman I spoke to at WDW Info basically said that the reason why there are so many scheduled for the summer is because a ton of people emailed and called about them. I don't think Disney is going to want to tick so many people off again, especially after hearing how packed the MK was during EMH at night.

CMs are saying that they will not have the night EMH this summer - I would have to agree with Brermamas views.

As for cancelling e-ticket nights once a week for a free EMH, who would complain about getting 3 hours for free? Maybe a few diehard e-ticket fans (I would rather pay for smaller crowds myself), but most people would think that they were getting something for free that they would have had to pay for.

Why would Disney hold off until the end of the fiscal year, if they made money with the extra hours?? It would be like throwing free money away. Think of what an improvement it would be to the stock price, if this program increases profits for the quarter.

If they made money expect to see it as soon as they can determine the best way to make the most the money with the least overhead. How long could that possibly take?

I very much doubt EMH would have a noticeable impact on the stock price. At best, it would contribute to a rise in resort bookings. Would take quite awhile for such an impact to show up.

I think it takes people at least one trip to see the advantages of EHM and staying on property. I have talked to many people I work with that say, "next time we will stay on property." Whether they go back again...who knows.

Disney World (and perhaps this includes all the parks) is reported to account for 50-60% of the income for the Walt Disney Co. If the quarter profits are more than expected...expect an increase in stock price. It would also shore up M.E.'s badly damaged reputation.

Whatever, I don't care what it does for the shareholders. I could be wrong about the stock price, but that wasn't really my point.

This is a business. If it improves the bottom line for WDW expect it to go into effect as soon as possible.

What does possible mean? I honestly have no clue. There are many factors (such as having sufficient labor coverage) that could cause a delay. I am sure that E-ride night is NOT one of those.

Look at all the interest that was generated just from the test, and before that the rumor of the test. I wish they would make some announcement yes or no, and something vague about when so that I could quit obsessing about my itinerary.

Is it possible that they would have multiple tests over the summer rather than just this one test? Maybe to work out any bugs they found on the May test?
