If you were going to be in charge or creating the next DVC resort, where would it be, what would be the design concept, and resort type (enclosed or open design)?

I would build another resort on the Disney World Property. I would make it a caribean theamed resort, with lots of palm trees, hamocks, and no hair braiding. I would make a new style reort. It would have a main enclosed building, with beach family homes instead of grand villas.

Where? I'd like it on-site, somehow on the TTC - EPCOT monorail line.

Theme: Something like the Retro, Steam-punk, Jules Vernian look of Tomorrowland, and how 20K Leagues used to look. Sort of a Dark Victorian: wrought iron, Crystal Palace, etc. Not likely, but hey, I'd like it! ;)

More realistic: Something like the Polynesian (oh, if only they could grab a few longhouses....)

Definitely on the monorail. It would sell out very quickly. It might even be like what is going on in Hawaii and Destin right now...units (not timeshare) are selling within hours of their presale, preconstruction release. I know I would be adding on to my points!

As far as design...I too love the idea of retro, funky, Tomorrowland...how cool! And it would be a perfect fit for the location.

I would put mine off of AKL. Since AKL is African themed, I'd do this one w/ an Asian/Indian flavor but still overlooking the savanah's and the animals.

If it wasn't on property... Hawaii!!!

Or how about a DVC cruise ship? :-) okay.. that one is really dreaming.. but hey.. that's what Disney is all about right?!

I would love anything on the monorail

I like the previous idea of getting something else on the Epcot monorail line, dont know how, but I like the concept

maybe some type of european theme

I dont think a dvc cruise ship would ever work with our current membership. I think the newer ships hold a min of 2-3 thousand passengers and if it sails every week you are looking at 100,000 to 150,000 passengers a year. even if only 75% of passengers are dvc members thats still more than our membership.
