My fiancee and I are looking into getting married through the Disney Cruise Line on the Island. If anyone can give me information it would be greatly appreciated. Since our wedding is not until Sept of 2007, we can't exactly get much info from disney themselves. I have been to WDW, but never on their cruise line. Please someone help!!! I'm a Type A personality and am very anal about this (lol). thanks

Congrats! You'll love the cruise line! A little bad news though. I've heard that you don't officially get married on the cruise ship or the island. They actually marry you in the Disney Cruise Line building at port in Cape Canvarel (sp?) and then the ceremony is later during the cruise. It is just because of international waters and other regulations like that. I would double check with Disney, but I've heard a few brides say this.

Have you tried www.disneyweddings.com ? You can cruise a Wishbook for the a cruise wedding. They have alot of info there.

I would suggest also rooting around the Cruise forums on the boards, I know there are a few threads about past Castaway Cay weddings that weren't really posted on this forum. That would also be a great area to look into planning something special for your honeymoon. Definitely keep us all posted on your plans, I think beach weddings are so romantic. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding.

My DH2B and I are planning a Castaway Cay wedding in 2006. Here is a link where I have posted all the info on DCL weddings I gathered from other DISers.

The previous poster is correct. Disney marries you in a room in Port Canaveral first, then you have another ceremony on the boat or on the island (depending upon what you have booked) later.
