Future cruise booking onboard

Are they still doing the special offers for booking onboard? How are they doing this now?

Folks who have sailed in August reported back that you book through the app because the future cruise desk is closed.

Yes - they still allow a future cruise booking option. It's a selection on the app once you board, and have the option to select it. At that point you have the option of 1 or two staterooms and $250 is charged to your credit card.

Afterwards you'll get an email with a reservation number and you or yourTA will use that to book your cruise at a later date.

Is the app the only option? Can you book your placeholder through the app at any point during the cruise or does it have to be when you first board?

We are on the dream next week but I can't get the placeholder until the last day of the cruise or it will expire before I get to use it. If I get the placeholder on day one or two I will just barely miss the 2 year mark to use it Labor Day weekend 2023.

You actually get the confirmation # in the app now - you can book until the last night on board. I took a screen shot of the confirmation # for later use.

I have seen people repeatedly mention booking the placeholder in the app. But can you book and actual cruise in the app? I’m looking at some dates in the springs and I’d like to just book it so I can skip the phone call later.

No, you cannot select a date or particular cruise. The app only lets them charge you $250 to get a reservation number and you make the actual selection later on.

If you're fine with your credit card being charged, you just go through the app. Since you're just agreeing to a charge and not an actual future cruise date, the whole process takes about 20 seconds.

On the 8/9 cruise guest services could not do anything with the placeholder including using a different form of payment. Credit card attached to reservation only and it is charged immediately.

Can you change the CC attached to the reservation to a different one mid-cruise or is the original attached one what you are stuck with for the whole cruise ?
