Future concerns about AKL... nothing to do with construction or closure

plus the 2-bedroom takes up 3 rooms (at least) - so if you have 8 people - they are replacing a possible 12.

but most DVC members like their space. so instead it would 4 or 5 people instead of 12.

anyone heard what has been reported on another board.

that the ENTIRE DVC part of the resort will be FINISHED this Sept - not next May as the AKV maps show?

Actually, it's replacing possibly 15....those 3 bays were "deluxe" rooms that slept 5.

So a 2 BR sleeps 9 (remember, 5 in the 1BR piece with the pullout chair) replaces 15. They're actually REDUCING max capacity at the main lodge.

Also, I saw you mention the first floor in a prior post. No savannah view rooms on Floor 1...pool view, yes. But nothing on the ground floor that's "facing" the savannah.

Even though we are DVC members; I think what Disney is doing is wrong, soon it won't be Disney World it will be Disney Vacation Club World.

I am afraid AKL is just the beginning.

I'm one of the people who prefers a lower floor. You get a more "up-close" view of the animals.
