I have a futon with screws that loosen when its moved around the house and so such. Should I take it apart for the movers?

Do they just loosen or do they fall all the way out? What if you just put masking tape over the backs of the screws so they can't fall out? You can always retighten the screws later, once it's in place.

I bought the floor model of a futon type sofabed. http://www.istikbalfurniture.com/

They delivered it up our stairs with great difficulty! It kept opening on them. They struggled so much. Later, I learned, that yes, just loosen a couple of large wingnuts & the mattress section comes right apart from the frame. It would have been so much easier for them if they had known that. I plan on taking it apart some when we move. Less potential for damage compared to how they had tried moving it up 3 flights of stairs. :sad2:
