Furious With Boots!

Robert ordered a photobook from Boots for his Dad for Christmas from us. When it arrived, it was bent, torn and scruffy. Robert emailed and complained, and they promised us a replacement in time for Christmas. Today, two parcels arrived, and they are photobooks.... OF OTHER PEOPLE'S CHILDREN!!!! :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: To top it off their phonelines won't be manned again until Monday, so there is probably no chance of it getting here in time for Christmas!!!! I am absolutely foaming as we are going to Barnsley on the 27th, so there's no time for it to get here after Christmas either!!!

I wouldn't care, we really need our mini Christmas to go with a bang because of Robert's mum being ill (She's been diagnosed with breast cancer and is having surgery on Christmas eve....) so I am beyond furious. The fact they botched it once is annoying, but twice is beyond a joke....

Oh no Bob :hug: that's awful. Tesco cancelled my order of photo calendars just last week, I was so annoyed as I always get one of the kids for my dad, no chance of getting it now.
 

that is terrible, I would be so angry too ! Can you not call your local boots store and see if they can do anything to help and perhaps remind them that it's the season of goodwill, etc, etc !

I don't know if they have the facility to print one in store ?

I hope you get something sorted.

I would ring them on Monday and tell them that you want a photo book couriered to you and that you expect it in time for Christmas. I'm sure there is still time to do that if Boots are willing to make an effort.

As for the photos of other kids, that is very worrying :sad1:

Very poor indeed. I know its not the same Gems but how about one of the ones where you slot a print in each month? (I think Boots do them!)
 
oh dear that is shocking service!! Hope you can sort it out.
 
I haven't checked if there is enough time, but Snapfish is very fast and we have had no problems with them. Get boots to refund your money and order it from Snapfish. It really isn't nice when you have things planned and they screw things up.

That's terrible, I agree with Jo (Wils) insist that they courier a new one to you! Good luck to your MIL :hug:
 
Robert has sent an email of complaint to them (The email is manned every day) so hopefully we'll hear back ASAP. If we haven't heard by Monday, he's going to ring and play hell.....

We got a reply! We got the usual spiel of it being a very rare error, blah blah blah, and the woman said she'd re-ordered the photobook again for us. She asked us also to send the other books back to the freepost address. She made no mention of it being here in time for Christmas, so Robert emailed again and she responded saying: "Too early to say yet. Contact me on Tuesday"....! Some choice swear words spring to mind here.....!!! He's going to ring on Monday...... I am now beyond furious.... :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:

The fact that it's a rare error is no comfort at all! I had the wrong PS2 game sent from CDWow and got the same response. Luckily as I'd ordered it with Nectar points I hadn't been relying on it to arrive before Christmas (which is just as well as there is no way the replacement is going to make it in time!)

I'm sorry you are having all the hassle at what's a stressful enought time for you both as it is :hug:
 
Do you what's annoyed me even more? We ordered the original book at the end of November! That's why I'm so cross- All this time and they've still managed to muck up our chances of it getting here in time for Christmas!

The photobook arrived this afternoon! Thank God! It's being wrapped as I type!

We rang Boots last night to chase it up and the guy on the phone was absolutely useless! When we asked what they'd do if it didn't arrive today he went quiet and didn't say anymore!!!
