My ds9 has developmental delays-He is very very limited in his writing/reading. I was very impressed with him this year when he figured out how to cut out the toys he wants and glue them to paper.

Well his new "thing" is to write. Soooo, this morning he gets a pen and paper all on his own and tells me he wants a PSP game system for Christmas.

"Ok, write it down" I tell him. He asks me how to spell it. So I patiently tell him P S P.

"But mom, I need the letters", so I tell him again "P S P" Now he's mad at me. So I say ok, "the first letter is P ok, now S ok, now P". And he's happy!

Actually I had to spell it about 5 times, I gave you the shortened version.

Oh, the dear little fellow. :goodvibes
I am glad you were eventually able to sort it out and it is great that he is keen to do some writing. Thanks for sharing.

I am past nap attack time yet I come back here for some sillyness. Nice to laugh even though today I had at least 5 of the 10-9 good buddy routines of repeating myself until I almost loose it.

What a great story, thank you

It really exemplifies the difference between the “piece at a time” standard mind and the “all at once” visual/non linear mind. Just beware that if he discovers what a great “game” it is decode the ridiculously complex communication system that we use you may end up feeling like a text reading (decoding) computer.

Well I guess we know who's getting a PSP!

Now you're stuck, aren't you? ;) :lmao:
