In thinking about favorite characters, I was thinking about Mary Poppins, big favorite of mine. I love the movie, but also in 1998 on a trip with my mom we did the character breakfast at Park Fare. At that time Mary was still walking around the dining room instead of just out in the foyer. My mom had gone to the buffet and Mary saw me sitting by myself and she came over, she was so funny and chatted with me for awhile. She asked where were going that day and I told her Animal Kingdom that had just opened. She told me how lovely it was and I asked if we would get to see alot of animals and she looked at me and very primly and properly said....

"Well, I would imagine, but they don't staple them to ground or anything you know."

It took me by surprise and stuck me as so funny, I almost spit coffee out all over Mary Poppins white dress. :rotfl: One of those moments I won't ever forget.

This past December we met Alice in the toy store in U.K. in Epcot. She was quite charming and loved my daughter's souvenier from Canada (a little beaver). She asked her handler if SHE could have one too. He smiled and told her No - and the two of them began the following:

Alice "You're the WORST babysitter EVAH! Where did you learn to be a babysitter??"

Handler "from Mary Poppins"

Alice "Mary Poppins! Huh! I'll tell you a thing or two about her! She tells you we're going to play a game and you have to clean up your room! Spoonful of sugar indeed! It's medicine! Mary Poppins! Bah! Stay away from HER!"
